Durafly Messerschmidt Bf.109E-4 Battle of Britain Scheme 1100mm ARF

$234.95
List Price: $295.00

WOW!

Did I mention WOW?? The long awaited Durafly Me109 is here, and they've done it again! The level of detail and the faithful reproduction of every nuance of fighters has long been Durafly's standard, and they sure hit the mark with this baby. Every single Me-109 (or Bf-109, if that's your thing) detail that I know of is represented in this model, and I am therefore a happy man. These can easily be used as display models if you're so inclined- but I'm not! They all fly like a dream, and this plane is sure to be just the latest example of that. Personally, I can't wait to get it in the air!

But, of course, the first thing I'm going to do with mine is REINFORCE IT! Since I arrived at a working design theory for reinforcing EPO planes, I haven't flown one without reinforcement, and I'm a happier man for it. As I've said so many times, the only problem I have with reinforced planes is that they don't break- as if that was a problem! But in reality, it does make for one problem, and that's where to keep all the planes! If you've seen all of our videos, you've seen a LOT of crashes that I've done with fighters- some of them truly bad, plane wrecking disasters, like 50MPH nosedives into pavement. And herein lies the problem- I still have every one of those planes, all of them with all of the original foam parts, and all of them beautiful looking, ready to fly, and on our plane racks. Which means, we have over 100 planes on racks here- we've LONG been completely out of space to keep them all! (Which is why we sell the test planes shown in our videos. Otherwise, I'd keep every last one of them)

If you're already one of our customers, you'll know that you're getting a model that you could very well have for the rest of your life. I'm sure it's possible to actually destroy one of our reinforced planes. It's just that I personally haven't done that yet! Since we don't have a video of the Me-109 crashing, we can only put a video here of another Durafly plane crash, so you can see what I'm talking about. This one is the Durafly Corsair, which did a nose dive into 'hardpack", the hard gravel side of a paved road. What happened? A broken prop, that's what. (and one of the foam hinges on the elevators tore off) We put a new prop on, did our 3 minute foam hinge repair, and took off again, which you can see at the end of the video.
